Tashawn King is a well-seasoned addition to today's music scene. Blessed with a strong baritone sound and an adventurous performance style, Tashawn invites audiences to "connect" and "travel" with him along his musical journey. Regardless of your gender, you can’t help but feel the man, the voice, his passion for the Lord and performing. Tashawn is most proud of the fact that he can relate to people through song, a skill he first acquired at the age of five. "Although I was a very shy kid when I was young, strangely enough, I always felt comfortable when singing or performing in front of others no matter how big the audience was".

No rookie to the music industry, Tashawn was the former co-lead singer of the male group Homework, launched in Boston by super-producer Maurice Starr. His tenure in the group allowed him to learn the nuances of the music business including the meaning of teamwork, the process of being signed to a major label, artist development, and touring. These experiences allowed him later to grow and evolve as a solo artist, exposing him to opportunities to perform and work alongside such globally recognized artists as Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Jahiem, and Chris Brown, just to name a few.

After taking some personal time out for himself and concentrating on strengthening his skills as a songwriter and arranger, Tashawn is back on his quest to secure his spot in music by walking the path that God has set for him. Although now, he builds his foundation on gospel music, while still reaching back to his musical influences, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Teddy Pendergrass. By fusing these different genres of music, he unleashes a sound he likes to refer to as, Real Life  Inspirational Testimonial Music.
